I too have finished reading Sparks-Tastic. My assessment is not nearly so generous as Glacenoire’s but since most people who come here just want to look at photos and not be bothered with that pesky reading stuff, I’ll put my comments behind a “read more”. All the usual disclaimers apply: spoiler alert, ymmv, read at your own risk, yes I’m an idiot
It is a subjective story about emotional journey, which was what I was expecting.
No one, not even the most dedicated fans, seem to be able to explain why Sparks affects some people like a dog whistle.
Which is why I really liked the story of the ghostly flute music his girlfriend and the neighborhood dogs could hear, but he couldn’t hear.
That is a beautiful metaphor for Sparks.
I must have seen this photo before - but OMG Russell is delectable!
